SUMS signed partnership agreement with Brazilian University
SUMS and the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) signed the academic partnership agreement on Tuesday August 1, 2017. This is the first agreement with Latin American institutions for SUMS. UFMT became the 22nd partner institutions of SUMS.
UFMT, located in the capital city of the state of Mato Grosso, western part of the country, is recognized for the outstanding achievements in the field of medical education in Brazil.
Based on this agreement, UFMT agreed to receive a Japanese Brazilian medical student of SUMS to join the training program from 21 August to 8 September.
Shiga’s percentage of Brazilian residents per population is the five highest in Japan.Recognizing the increasing importance of a global learning and research environment and contribution to local community, we believe this agreement will promote excellence in our education, research and clinical patient care.
