SUMS Ranks 16th worldwide for SDG3 "Good Health and Well-being" in THE Impact Rankings 2023
On Thursday, June 1, Times Higher Education (THE), a British higher education magazine, released the "THE Impact Rankings 2023."
The ranking evaluates universities' social contribution and research endeavors in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It serves as the fifth edition of this influential ranking.
This year, SUMS participated in the competition for the first time and secured an impressive 16th place globally (2nd in Japan) in the SDG3 category, which focuses on "Good Health and Well-being." The university was recognized and highly commended for its remarkable efforts to promote health and well-being in the local communities, achieved through collaborations with local governments, medical institutions, and active engagement with high schools and public lectures.
With a commitment to being a "Sustainable and Attractive University," SUMS remains dedicated to advancing the SDGs through its education, research, and medical activities.
